SA Tech provides personnel to support the specialized aircrew training conducted by AFSOC at Hurlburt Field, FL.   The initial task requirements rapidly outgrew its original authorized manpower and equipment estimates and was rebid after the first year.  (Unit designations also changed.)  The current MRT and LZ task requires a diverse team to provide Mission Rehearsal Training for aircrew members undergoing Initial, Upgrade, Continuation and Instructor training in various aircraft from Hurlburt Field or Duke Field in Florida.  SA Tech personnel serve as Opposition Forces (OPFOR) or Friendly Forces as they role play for the various ISR mission training scenarios.   Some SA Tech personnel are qualified as Landing Zone Controllers and Safety Officers and will control aircraft traffic into prepared and unprepared landing zones.  At times, SA Tech personnel will conduct live, Call for Fire missions to support the AC-130 Gunships.   Finally, some missions require SA Tech personnel supervise and or train other ground personnel while conducting the MRT missions.
